See it at the Essen Show: Meta’s new product portfolio

Meta's New Product RangeMeta Vision Systems summarises an exciting year by showcasing our new extended product range at Essen.

Meta rewrote the rules of laser seam tracking in 1994 when we introduced our low cost, feature packed Laser Probe and Laser Pilot platforms, today well known and accepted globally.  These systems have consistently provided significant benefits to users in terms of improved weld quality and reduced production cost.

Now in this year alone, we have extended our product range in two distinct vertical markets.

In March, Meta set up Meta-Scout GmbH – a new German company based on the previous Scout sensor company and run by Dr Klaus Barthel, founder of Scout.  The Scout sensor system uses a unique five stripe laser sensor to provide unmatched flexibility and performance for tracking for robot laser welding.

Throughout this year, Meta has been releasing the members of a new family of high performance triple stripe laser sensors for its flagship VistaWeld system.  The range has been completed with MTH10, MTH20 and MTH35 sensors.  The MTH20 will be shown for the first time at Essen.  This new range of sensors combines three stripe laser projection with high resolution progressive scan camera technology.  The MTH sensors are already being used in various applications in tube & pipe welding with excellent results.

Meta will have demos of Laser Pilot, Scout and VistaWeld on its stand number 1.2.1 in Hall 2.
